This is not the end of Jake O'Mally and Theo Williams. Their adventures are just beginning. As the Author, I have fully enjoyed my two leading characters. Some people might call them foulmouthed, womanizing, immoral, alcoholics, but whatever you may think of them, they are human beings true to themselves. I'm working on my sixth in the O'Malley series and in the process of writing a children's book, 'Howie the wise old Owl'.

Don't laugh, there are a lot of people very close to me who said I could never write a book at all, that I lack the skills and education. My grammar skills suck and are lacking in many ways, but I didn't let that stop me. I'm learning. There are men who worked for the Mobile Police Department in the past that I looked up to. My characters are based on these men even though they have long ago passed away. I'm in no way abandoning my two detectives because sometimes it's the only thing that makes me laugh at myself. I had a great actor friend in New York who gave me a lot of support and advice. One hell of a grammar expert in my opinion. I ask him if I should tone down the profanity and sexual situations. He told me, that no matter who is offended stay true to the story, and I did.

If my stories seem to be awkward and read different with 85% dialogue and 15% description it because I originally wrote them in screenplay form. Most authors have a tenancy to write 80% description and 20% story. Boring as hell to me because I don't need someone to take up a whole paragraph describing a large old oak tree where my characters are in an unmarked car, in the shade, talking about their financial being or their sex lives or politics. The story isn't about the oak tree. There I said it. Most people have seen an oak, so why pretend they're too ignorant to picture it in their mind. Leave the description up to the reader's imagination. If I was worried about description, I would have placed a lot of photos on every other page. My books are far from great literature. I'm a storyteller. With that being said, just have a good laugh and move on to the next story. To the people who read my stories, thank you very much and please feel free to send your comments through my email placed in every book .
